QUICK TALK
NOTES

The Romans were fascinated by the numerous eagles (aquilias) flying above the mountains in Bierzo. Akilia honors the great history of the land where these vines (70+ yrs old) are planted.

Having made wine in France and California, Mario Rovira returned to Spain and, a fan of Burgundy, chose Bierzo to start his own winery, due to its cooler climate. Great care in wine making makes for a wine of serious precision. His white is bright and focused with great intensity, much like the great wines of Chablis.
