Aquitania is owned by M. Aquin, a local businessman who always dreamt of making world class Albariño. Large plots of land are very hard to come by in Rias Baixas so he slowly bought up scattered plots, being careful to select land with 8km of the winery, all granitic soils, and some over 100 years old.
